I have a very serious important question. When I first came to live with my mommy she said I was a frootbat just like Skeezix and Dragonheart and Daisy. See?
But now I've been here a while and I grew some (which they said I wouldn't) and filled out some (which they said I would-I was skinny like a model then, but I think boy-cats like lady-cats who look like lady-cats not stick-bugs, don't you?), but my ears didn't grow. Am I still a frootbat?
I am very worried about this. I would like to still be a frootbat, but I don't want to claim to be something I'm not and confuse other cats.
Please let me know.
Thank you,
Persephone
Jack here. ::rolling eyes:: I dunno about the frootbat thing, but she sure is a Fat Sister now!!!
JACK!!!!! ::whaps Jack::
Ow! Quit it! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! Sheesh!
On to more important things. I would like to have that party now that things are a little less sad. But I haven't been around a lot lately. Has anycat picked next week Saturday (Oct 13) for a party yet? If not, can I? That will give my OTW some time to arrange party stuff and still be close to one month after my birthday, and just five days from my 1st Blogoversary. What do you think, everycat?
Now my OTW has something to say. Go on, human.
::OTW sheepishly scuffs toe::
Umm.....
I'm an eejit.
I did this lovely picture up for Whisper and put his dates on it and everything and didn't even notice until a few days ago, even though I looked at it a lot after Whisper went to the Bridge because I miss him a lot, especially at treat time, because he always came running, well sauntering because he was old, for treats and also I miss him a lot when I go to bed, because he burgled my snuggles as I was trying to fall asleep, that I actually got the dates wrong and I didn't even notice when cats kept commenting on how young he was and I was thinking what did they mean by young, because 14 isn't really that young actually, for a cat that was fed crappy food most of his life, and I think mostly ignored too, and then one day I was looking at the picture again and realized I had put 2003 instead of 1993 which probably the year he was born, and I'm really really sorry I confused all the kitties because I didn't mean to at all.
I'm sorry.
::whispering:: was that ok, then, Jack?
Yes, human, that will do. Alright then, I'm sorry too, everycat, not to have checked my OTW's work more carefully, and Persephone is as well since she is after all the OTW's research assistant and typist, and should have been snoopervising. We hope all the confusion has been cleared up.
PS. Jack's a Big Meanie Brother!!!!! signed Persephone

Persephone, you can be an honourary Frootbat. :) You have grown into your ears, but that's okay. :) You are still a beautiful cat. :)
Oh you can still be a Frootbat! Since I started Frootbat Friday there have been lots of honorary Frootbats.
Party!!!!!!
Kaze
You can be Frootbat if you want to be. No one stop you.
Persephone, once a Frootbat always a Frootbat. If you feel frooty in your heart, you are a Frootbat. And we are pleased to have you.
Partay, partay, partay...oh, and Persephone, if yoo want to be a frootbat go ahead, what ever you decide yoor furry beyootiful (and not fat at all). Brothers can be mean and say mean stuff.
I'm still sad whisper is gone, especially since I am also 14 years old. Purrs

Hi Jack,
Thanks for stopping by and checking on Stray Kitty. He is already starting to feel better. After just 2 doses of meds he tried to pounce on Midnite. He's feeling better - is sitting right now on the scanner watching out of the office window for some of his lizard friends. Last night two little frogs got in the house and it was a contest to see which of them would capture it.

I think that you can still be a frootbat!
I think that you are a lovely frootbat, Persephone! And you are not fat either - you're a very pretty kitty. I sure like that party idea too - right in between Jack's birthday and the blogoversary! And, OTW, please don't worry about the numbers, my Lap Lady gets numbers mixed up too!
Purrrrs, China Cat
I agree - you are a very cute (not fat) frootbat! The party sounds terrific!

OLder brothers usually are. Mom's older brother finally stopped picking on her when she sat on his chest , grabbed his ears and slammed his head onto the floor. SHe was 14 and he was 18. He figured since that hurt he probably should start getting along with her.

Hey Jack, my Zozo was a total frootbat when I got her at 5 weeks old all those years ago. Thanks for adding her to the Friends list... and for making me smile when I least expected it (and needed it) >:3
We figgered it was eifur a typo or Whisper's gotcha year. Mom's been sayin Bonnie's bday is about Apr 10, but she founded vet records frum Apr 4 for 7-week-old Bonnie! So she's 2 monfs older than Mom's been sayin. HAhahahaha!
Oh, Oct 13 sounds GRATE! Weekends are gettin busy, but we'll be there!
Anycat can be a frootbat frum the rite angle, cept maybe Scottish Folds. Purrs!
Persephone, don't worry dear. When I was little my ears looked very big and Tipper says hers did too. Maybe it's that way with us girls kitties when we're babies. But both of us grew into our ears and it looks like you did too.
If the great Frootbat Dragonheart says you can still be one, it must be OK. Maybe it's "once a frootbat, always a frootbat" or something like that!
Your friend
Misty
