She cheats on me all the time, I don't mind if others get pettings so long as I get more. I've shared her pettings with 22 other cats in my life, I'm used to it. She's a bit of a tramp, but she's got good scratchy nails so I always take her back.
And I don't mind about the food. My OTW has a magic kibble bucket in the cupboard and a magic fridge with gooshy food that's always full, and I know how to tell her when the bowl's empty.
