Gingerlocks and the Two House Panthers

The Story of Gingerlocks and the Two House Panthers

Once upon a time, there was a little boy-cat with Gingerlocks. He went for a walk down the hall in the apartment building (in a PTU carried by a Very Big Man). Pretty soon, he came to another apartment. He meowed and, when the Snuggly Lady fixed up a room, he walked right in.

On the floor in the room was his bowl of foods, beside it was his bowl of water. And across the room was a box with diggy stuff that wasn't yucky-full of his poops.

Gingerlocks was bored and lonely. He had been left alone for days when his people went away and didn't come back. He purred at the Snuggly Lady in the first minute.

"This Snuggly Lady pets me lots!" he exclaimed.

Then, he purred at the Very Big Man in the second minute.

"This Very Big Man pets me lots," he said

But he was a kitten and couldn't sit still for long, so he jumped down and played with all the toys in the room.

"Ahhh, this apartment is just right," he said happily and he attacked the Dangly Mousie-onna-string.

After he'd destroyed the Mousie-onna-string he decided he was feeling a little tired. So, he walked around the room where he saw two perches. Gingerlocks jumped up on the first perch to rest his paws.

"This perch is nice and high!" he exclaimed.

Then he jumped up on the second perch.

"This perch is close to where the peoples sit!" he said.

But he was a kitten and couldn't sit still long, so he climbed all the tall things on the walls.

"Ahhh, this apartment is just right," he sighed and tried to figure out how to get on top of the tall shelf.

Gingerlocks was very tired by this time, so he looked around the room and saw two beds. He lay down in the first bed

"This bed is nice and big!" he exclaimed.

Then he tried the other bed.

"This bed is furry and soft!" he sighed.

But he was a kitten and even kittens have to sleep sometime. So Gingerlocks fell asleep.

As he was sleeping, the House Panthers came in.

"Somecat's been making love eyes at my OTW," growled the Boy House Panther.

"Somecat's been cuddling my Daddy," grred the Girl House Panther.

"Somecat's been sitting on my perch," scented the Boy House Panther.

"Somecat's been sitting on my perch," whuffed the Girl House Panther.

They decided to sniff around some more and when they got to the beds, Boy House Panther growled, "Somecat's been sleeping in my bed,"

"Somecat's been sleeping in my bed, too" said the Girl House Panther.

Just then, Gingerlocks woke up and saw the two House Panthers. He flattened his belly to the floor and mewed, "Purr?" And Girl House Panther hissed and ran out of the room.

And the Boy House Panther sniffed and bopped him on the head. But I don't think Gingerlocks will be returned to the home of the Humans-Who-Went-Away.

THE END

Can I stay?

Hello Gingerlocks! We are all so sorry that your humans went away and abandoned you. That's awful. It looks like you are having a good time now though and are very safe. We are sure that Jack and Persphone will make friends with you soon and you will be staying forever :)

Hi Gingerlocks! What a handsome young man you are. Our human can't post what she thinks of your first humans, it would be too offensive for young kitty ears. But we're all very glad you seem to have your forever home now!
