Midnight Monday Kitten Edition
Hello, Very Big Human! Would you like to play with me?
Hey! Get off my floor, Big Strange Kitty! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Hey! Get away from my food, Big Old Kitty! GRRRRRRRRRR!
Hey! Get away from my toy, Big Strange Kitty! GRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Boy, guarding my stuff is gonna be tough here! Better practice my GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
This? This is a Love Bug! I got to rub his belly less than 24 hrs after he got home. I can touch his paws. I can touch his tail. But Bast help the *kitty* who comes near his food or his toy!
He was clearly socialized by someone as a wee kitten. And just as clearly learned he had to defend his food and his stuff from other cats at some point (he was found alone and fending for himself in a rural area. Nothing else was known). I just wish I could figure out how old he is. File says 7 months. He certainly has a pretty grown up face.
And he's pretty big too.
But it looks like his eyes are still changing colour, which usually happens by about 4 months.
And his baby fangs are just being replaced now. (that top one wasn't even visible yesterday morning, and hadn't broken skin yesterday afternoon. Yesterday evening, however....), which usually happens between 4-6 months.
Well, however old he is, he sure has one fat, happy little belly!

Well, we don't know his history, but he sure does a fine job of protecting his space! No cowering for this kitty.
And, yes, a fine fat tummy that our mommy just wants to pet...so, keep him at your house-we already have too many here that have the cute factor!

Aw, what a sweet little baby! Great Christmas Present! for both of you!!
Well hi, little guy. You sure are cute!!
Welcome to your forever home and to The Cat Blogosphere.
awwww - we bet he adjusts pretty quick once he settles in.....he is a seriously cute house panther!
LOVE LOVE LOVE the tooth shot!!! My Eli had his baby teeth hang out for a while after his adult teeth started coming in and I tried like the dickens to get a good shot of it but he wouldn't sit still and all I got were blur.
You can help him with the food thing by putting even more food down. They protect resources, and when there is more then enough, they learn they don't have to protect it.
This little guy reminds us of our late great Kelly cat. We hope your little black kitten grows up to be just as loving to his friends (and just as fierce to his enemies)!
